Another Billy update.

So, how's Billy's training coming along Cro?

Well he's doing very well, thank you. Now when he jumps up and bites me, he only takes small lumps of flesh from my hands, and he only rips the lining out of his bed in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. His baby teeth have now mostly been replaced (naturally) thank goodness.

Otherwise we've taught him to eat and drink, to run, to leave muddy paw-prints half way up our glazed doors, and to sleep; all of which he's learnt very quickly. We've also taught him to swim (ahem).

His first portrait!

Yes, he's coming along very nicely.

  3. Nice portrait of a happy little puppy. And a gorgeous photo of the happy little puppy surrounded by mayhem!

    1. I think he invented mayhem; but all puppies are much the same.

  5. Cro your training seems to be going as well as ours, though as our dog is about five years old we don't have the baby teeth to contend with.

    1. We do try to explain to him, but he puts his paws in his ears!

  6. My daughter is forever sewing her dog's bed back together. Billy is doing just fine and having a great life with you and Mrs M. He is a bundle of fun and mischief I think. Enjoy. Hope you get to use the pool I love swimming. I used to swim two hours a day until the pool was closed and the site built on. So much for promoting our health not to mention how fabulous it was for the community and the vast array of people who used it. Obviously Coventry City Council knows best!

I am confident that I'll swim this afternoon. It may only reach 22 C, but I'll be brave!

  9. Looks like 2 beds he's got there. Does he leave you alone at night when you are asleep?

    1. Now he sleeps on the tiled floor by the door. He's not yet ventured upstairs. We haven't had a nasty storm since he's been here, so that'll be interesting. The other dogs always came upstairs to be with us.

  10. It's just that wonderful assumption they have that everything is "Mine!". Even my cat has it.

  15. Billy reminds me of our Daisy when she was a pup. That first winter when I went out to clean up poop on the January frozen ground, I laughed! I could have knitted a many-colored sweater from all the threads she'd passed! She got over it by the next year, thank goodness. Isn't it fun to watch the learning process of a precious pup! Your drawing is a wonderful likeness!
