So, how's Billy's training coming along Cro?
Well he's doing very well, thank you. Now when he jumps up and bites me, he only takes small lumps of flesh from my hands, and he only rips the lining out of his bed in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings. His baby teeth have now mostly been replaced (naturally) thank goodness.
Otherwise we've taught him to eat and drink, to run, to leave muddy paw-prints half way up our glazed doors, and to sleep; all of which he's learnt very quickly. We've also taught him to swim (ahem).
His first portrait!
He seems to have a wonderful life with you.
ReplyDeleteHe's certainly a very happy little boy.
DeleteThere's nothing more rewarding than a happy dog.
ReplyDeleteHe's certainly that. He loves it here.
DeleteNice portrait of a happy little puppy. And a gorgeous photo of the happy little puppy surrounded by mayhem!
ReplyDeleteI think he invented mayhem; but all puppies are much the same.
DeleteHe's coming on nicely then. Looks happy.
ReplyDeleteBoundless energy, and plenty of mischief. Perfect.
DeleteCro your training seems to be going as well as ours, though as our dog is about five years old we don't have the baby teeth to contend with.
ReplyDeleteWe do try to explain to him, but he puts his paws in his ears!
DeleteMy daughter is forever sewing her dog's bed back together. Billy is doing just fine and having a great life with you and Mrs M. He is a bundle of fun and mischief I think. Enjoy. Hope you get to use the pool I love swimming. I used to swim two hours a day until the pool was closed and the site built on. So much for promoting our health not to mention how fabulous it was for the community and the vast array of people who used it. Obviously Coventry City Council knows best!
ReplyDeleteApologies to Lady M as I incorrectly addressed her as Mrs M.Sorry your Ladyship.
ReplyDeleteShe forgives you.
DeleteI am confident that I'll swim this afternoon. It may only reach 22 C, but I'll be brave!
Look at that sweet and innocent little face. He looks to be saying "who, me!".
ReplyDelete"I thought you wanted me to empty it!".
DeleteLooks like 2 beds he's got there. Does he leave you alone at night when you are asleep?
ReplyDeleteNow he sleeps on the tiled floor by the door. He's not yet ventured upstairs. We haven't had a nasty storm since he's been here, so that'll be interesting. The other dogs always came upstairs to be with us.
DeleteIt's just that wonderful assumption they have that everything is "Mine!". Even my cat has it.
ReplyDeleteBilly certainly has it.
DeleteLove the portrait very Enid Blyton
ReplyDeleteHe quite an Enid Blyton kinda dog. I can just picture him with the Famous Five.
Deletelovely portrait...keep them coming!!
ReplyDeletenice pup too
Border Collies are quite easy to draw, you just have to get the black bits in the right place!
DeleteHe doesn't know how lucky he was to be owned by you both ( & for you to have him ) Kimbo paired you up beautifully. Love the drawing. XXXX
ReplyDeleteWe go together well. One big happy family.
DeleteJUST HAD MY FIRST SWIM OF 2019. 23 C WATER. A BIT NIPPY, BUT GOOD TO COOL OFF.
ReplyDeleteOur outside temperature was 28C this afternoon, and 25 C when I came home just now.
Delete31 C here, almost too hot for a Spring day.
DeleteBilly reminds me of our Daisy when she was a pup. That first winter when I went out to clean up poop on the January frozen ground, I laughed! I could have knitted a many-colored sweater from all the threads she'd passed! She got over it by the next year, thank goodness. Isn't it fun to watch the learning process of a precious pup! Your drawing is a wonderful likeness!
ReplyDeleteActually I'm rather enjoying his growing pains. He's a bit mischievous, but we quite like that side of his character.
DeleteBilly look a bundle of fun and full of devilment. A great Canine pal.
ReplyDeleteHe's been a bit quiet today; I don't think he enjoys the heat.
DeleteHe sounds perfect.
ReplyDeleteHe's getting that way.
DeletePretty much par for the course with pups then.
ReplyDeleteIt shows character.
DeleteSome dog adolescence is worse than others. Billy sounds on the worse side but will of course come good.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in 6 months or so.
DeleteClearly you're raising quite the Rebel! But he's such an Adorable one!
ReplyDeleteWith all his foibles, he's a real cutie.
DeleteYour floor looks just like mine the only difference is ours comes from stuffed toys and it is white so we call it snow.
ReplyDeleteAgatha is very good at making snow !
parsnip
It was the Cat's bed that Billy adopted. I've thrown it out now!
