Another garden tour.

This is the part of our garden (below) that we leave to others to tend on our behalf. It is possibly the most important element of the garden and we have faith in their work. The hay had just been baled the day before.

A nice ancient pinnacle, and a local style green glazed pot, outside our cosy 'auvent'.

'The Pearly Gates' with The Compact Royce Mark 2 beyond. St Peter out of shot.

The tortured poolside Fig tree that I worked on last year, auvent, and cottage. Tower out of view.

And finally, the Pool. The heart of the home. Splish, Splash, Splosh.

    1. We love it. But sadly we're now only allowed to be here for three months in the year.

    1. All we need now is an annual international bike race.

  5. Beautiful.
You could be there for longer, but by your own admission, you chose not to apply for the
permit that gave you the right to stay permanently.

    1. A French female 'deputy' (I've forgotten her name) was trying to get the Senate to increase the 3 months to 6 months. I wrote supporting her, but haven't heard anything since.

  6. So lovely. You were lucky to find the place all those years ago and you made it your own with love.

    1. When I originally bought our first 'big house', I used to walk past here almost every day thinking how nice it would be to own it; it was just a one room ruin then. Eventually I managed to persuade my neighbours to sell it to me.

  7. I'm not at all surprised that when you found the place, you stayed for so long, it really does look like a little piece of paradise! X

    1. Our original house was a much bigger and more 'impressive' property, but this little house really feels like home. It's very cosy!

  8. I wish I had a pool like that outside my door (and the weather to go with it.)

    1. I've been swimming every day. Even when the weather has been a bit dull there's usually an hour or so when the sun shines. I'm just about to go for a swim now!

    1. It all needs mowing at the moment. Too much rain over the past few days.

  11. Everything is beautiful, the gardens, fields of grass and flowering plants. A custom oasis. The swimming pool is really looking perfect as well. The water is clear, tropical blue! A 6 month stay would be ideal.

    1. We were lucky with the pool. When I removed the cover it was quite green, but it soon cleared and is now as good as can be expected.
