Panto Time; Oh no he didn't. OH YES HE DID!

The village of Lower-Piddling-upon-Thames is looking for actors to participate in this year's Women's Institute Panto:... Cinderella.

Only three roles remain vacant; the Two 'Unattractive' sisters and Baron Newly-Hardup.

Casting will take place at The Drowning Man pub' in Hackney; no Royals need apply.

(p.s. Those with their own amusing Panto outfits will be given priority)

  1. Well it is another 'Annus Horribulis'of course, read an article saying that the Queen should retire which is probably a good idea. As for the Duke he is the product of an outdated system and is being punished for the idiot he is. I never understood the hats, did they go into the dressing up box from years ago? It makes you smile anyway...

    1. I saw the hats as an act of arrogance; they seemed to think they could wear just about anything, and still be lauded. Instead they were made to look like fools.

  2. 1. Someone had to design these hats. 2. A sylist had to put forward the hats. 3. People had to agree to be seen in the hats. You'd think somewhere along the line someone would have had some sense.

    1. It appears not. How 99.9% of the population could see it, and not the 0.1% who wore it, is something of a mystery.

    1. It's a pity that Fergie wasn't in there too!

    2. Just read in the this morning’s paper he plans to get his daughters to take on shedloads of his good causes. The pair of them haven’t done a proper days work in their lives. They could of course be the faces of the new Easijet package holiday venture. They do have a lot of experience in holidaying around the world.

    3. I think Eugenie pretended to work in the Art business for a while, but she soon abandoned it.

    1. I would include their mother in that. She's been involved in all sorts of 'schemes'.

  6. Well never mind. It detracts from Brexit for a few minutes each day. I believe it was good for the tourist industry economy in London. I can't see tourists flocking to see President Boris or President Corbyn.

Mind you that could reduce the need for hotels and that, in turn could reduce the need for low paid immigrants to work in them. The implications could be endless.

    1. I'm not anti-Royals, I just think that some of them should behave as they were, no doubt, taught.

  7. At my advanced age could I perhaps take on the role of Widow Twanky or am I in the wrong panto?

  8. What did HRH really think of that hat. The bloke in the middle needs to have some glitz removed, rather a lot really, and his jowly face slimmed down after a life of obvious indulgence.

    2. You could say that and I would not disagree.

    1. He would have been happier to have been born of lower 'rank'; being a royal doesn't suit either him or his family.

  10. I think Eugenie still works for Hauser & Wirth. I am not sure what Beatrice does but she has always had a job. I think you are treating them badly here. I agree with Frances. Neither of them receive royal handouts except what they might be given by their father from his. Andrew is a complete twat for continuing to associate with Epstein after he was released from prison even if he knew nothing before he had no excuse after the prison sentence and his excuses for everything during the tv interview were crazy and foolish and bizarre to say the least.

    1. As you know I am a 'royalist' of sorts, but I do like them to behave in a gentlemanly fashion. In many ways I blame Fergie and Diana Spencer; between them they started a downward spiral in support for the royals. I think it's now time for Andy and his family to move abroad, and disappear for a while. I just hope that Harry doesn't continue where Andy left off. The Royal family doesn't want any more scandals for quite some while.

    2. p.s. I think Eugenie was made a director of H & W after having been there for a week or two. Whether that counts as 'working' I'm not sure.

  11. They're not hats, they're 'fascinators'. When you know that it all begins to make sense.
