Splish, splosh.

OK, we haven't suffered anything like the Thames valley, or the flood plains of Somerset, but we have had our fair share of rain. The above was yesterday's early morning dog walk (notice, no dogs to be seen anywhere!)

Luckily this rainy period seems to have passed, and we shall now have 'some' sunshine till the end of the month; even though the temps will not exceed 13 C.

I trust this will be reflected in the UK having better weather too. Time to dry-out.

  1. Love the splish-splosh. Sunday here was lovely no wind no rain just sun and tranquillity - at last. I even managed to get out and do a bit in the garden - bliss.

  2. I am very lucky that 30 seconds from home there is a cycle/walking track that was an old railway line…tarmac all the way to Luton! ( about 5 miles) The pup and I have stayed mainly mud free during this awful weather.

  3. And here is me, desperate for some rain! One overnight shower is all we've had in a year.

    1. I think I'd rather have what we've recently had, than nothing at all.

  5. I smiled when I was reading this. When my dogs were younger, they'd go tearing off on their own business. I'd meet other dog walkers and I'd say, I do have 2 dogs with me,..somewhere...

  6. It seems to be a wet year in so many places. Unfortunately, it seems that those that really need it are getting little.

  8. Nope..no dogs in sight. I saw where a tractor had been through.

  9. We are having non-stop rain and horrible winds that have toppled several large old trees. Hoping for some let up soon.

  10. How entertaining to hear your muddy boots squelching tonight after my day in the office. Here after a foggy and frosty start it turned out quite mild. Half term so kids everywhere ruined my lunch break..

  11. More rain forecast here although not as heavy and not accompanied by those strong winds, so an improvement I think.

  12. After walking with the dogs on a day like that, I imagine they needed baths when you got back home. (Or maybe my dogs were the only ones who loved to slop in the mud.)
