I came here to relax, but I still haven't been able to.
OK, I've had a few swims, but the outdoor temperature is very hot, and we've been dealing with our few minor disasters that needed to be fixed. We have mended the pool pump bit, but the car is a very different matter. It has to go to a garage; and after Kimbo flies back to Blighty, we shall be left 'High-n-Dry' without a vehicle (until it's fixed). The mechanic will pick it up, and deliver when fixed, so at least that's something! It's something to do with a 'Drive Chain' inside the engine.
On a more personal front, everything seemed to be going much better, but having to rush around, and with all the stress, I am experiencing pain once again; even though I can now actually walk.

Looks pretty good. I see the temperature is set to rise in the next few days. Just as well you like the heat.
Yes, it's lovely, but not so easy finding somewhere shady to eat in the evening. The sun always seems to be in the wrong place.
What a glorious photo. The colour of that pool! And you're swimming! I am pleased to hear you're enjoying your summer paradise in every way. Hopefully all those problems will pass, especially your pain. I'll drink to your good health, not unfortunately with a good French red but a passable local brew
The picture is wonderful and your place really has a lot to offer. I wish you a wonderful summer.
As if by magic Kimbo is there.
We had some very good Champagne last night, with some expensive red, and some BBQ'd T Bone Steaks. Just about perfect.
I can't swim, but with a background of peace and serenity, I would be tempted to jump in.
Swim like a poisson! Eat like a cochon! Fly like a oiseau! Roger like a chien!
Thank you Yael. I think it might be a bit cooler today with a max of 20 C. Much better for working outdoors.
He offered to drive us down. He is such a good son. He flies back tomorrow.
I would teach you M. It's mostly a question of confidence, knowing that you won't drown.
Wasn't there a Roger Rabbit? Or was it a Rogering Rabbit?
I was looking a Brighton Weather. I now see it's back to 35 C here.
Oh that pool looks wonderful. Our last house before this one we have now had a pool it was marvellous and helped my Husband's arthritis better than any painkillers. I am so glad you are now safely in France. I hope your time there is just what you need. Regards Sue H
The name of that film character seemed rather rude so I never saw the film. I have high moral standards you know!
I'm just out of the pool. 24 C and very refreshing. It's already hot here at 11 am. Swimming is great exercise; a panacea.
Wish we were there,
Looks wonderful and peaceful unlike the rowdiness that took place in Brighton yesterday. So glad you made it.
It's very hot!
I saw some film on Brighton station. As you say, a rowdy and unpleasant bunch.
