Regular visitors here may remember that I wrote about Mojtaba Khamenei (above) back on 3rd Feb this year.
He's a charming fellow. Son of the late supreme leader (now with his 72 virgins), he had access to unlimited funds to amuse himself, wherever he fancied; mostly in London. I see that his late father, the fragrant Ayatollah, managed to amass a 'fortune' of between $95 and $200 Billion. All this whilst many of his people could hardly afford a loaf of bread.
It must be strange to have access to unlimited money. If he sees a £40 Million house that he fancies, he just says "Send the bill to Iran", and it's his! And he moves on to the next one.
The big question is (as with so many Islamic leaders), where does all the money come from?
Arafat was the first leader I'd heard about who 'commandeered' vast amounts of his people's money. Since then almost every Hamas senior figure has managed to acquire a few dodgy £Millions or even £Billions; Yahya Sinwar having even deposited his stash in a Jewish Bank in Tel Aviv. The bloody cheek!
It's well known that these people steal money that belongs to the citizens of Iran, Syria, Gaza, etc, and they have no shame in doing so.
The latest I heard of Mojtaba himself, was that he MIGHT have lost a limb, and MIGHT be in a coma. News is sketchy. As with most of these people; their stolen £Billions don't do them much good! You can only spend so much.
Mojtaba is of course a Cleric, like his father before him; but does The Koran not teach that one 'Should not steal'? Surely a Cleric should know better.

They learnt from our politicians. It always makes me think when I see the likes of Raynor purchasing multiple properties on a salary of a hundred grand a year. 90% of politicians are bent and the other 10% are waiting for their turn
Most politicians are there for what they can get out of it, rather than for what they can offer.
Mojtaba does not look happy in the top picture. What he needs is a good night out in Barnsley - a few pints in "The Pleasant Pig" then on to the comedy night at Wombwell Workingmen's Club... or maybe he'd prefer strippers night. It's up to him.
He probably already does that 'in disguise'. I know that a lot of wealthy old men in Saudi escape at weekends for a bit of 'wine, women, and song'; but not too much 'song'.
I am sure that he would be only too happy to make his UK properties available to the homeless and dispossessed who have washed up on Britain's shores.
There'll be plenty of his ex-Revolutionary Guards on their way here very soon. I think you have a good idea!
Oh it makes my blood boil. We are hearing more and more about his fortune. But it's a very common story. Absolute power, and not only absolute, corrupts absolutely.
Is any country blocking his bank accounts and taking over his real estate?
I hope that eventually it will be returned to where it belongs! We shall see.
This is worrying. I have had 254 visits to my page today, and at present (6 pm) only 4 comments. Are people really so uninterested in what these people are up to? I'm amazed.
Nothing new here. As it happens in most countries. Some more blatantly than others. Leaders often live in riches while the rest not so much.
Cro, Perhaps your regulars prefer the cozy family and nostalgic social posts.
I remember when I was on twitter in 2023, posting up pretty pictures of Cornwall and nature pictures, but once I dipped my toes into the world of politics, followers mysteriously vanished. It seems that they weren't interested in the harsh realities of life. And so I gave up on twitter.
But lets face it, there's a lot to be angry about today. Perhaps things will look up soon after the results of the U.K Local Elections in May.
I didn't comment on this because I haven't been following the wars going on at the moment. I have no idea which countries are at war and for what reason. Foreign names that I can't pronounce baffle me, I don't know which side they are on. All I can say is that wars are only a part of a much bigger picture. They have to keep them going to service the corruption which makes the richer even richer. I watch Superyacht News. When you see the eyewatering amounts these very rich people spend on their yachts, it's just peanuts to them. They live in a different world. They fight each other for dominance. Power is the only thing that drives them. They are barely human. That's what I think anyway.
I think you're right. Just occasionally when I'm feeling a bit fed-up, I post a photo of some 'cute kittens'. It does the job!
Here in the UK, our politicians usually make more money after they've retired. After dinner speaking, books, directorships, etc, all allow the money to rush in!
The mega-rich always want to be richer. And just occasionally they give a few millions to a well known charity, just to let us all know what generous folk they are.
