Some people have all the luck. If you can call it 'luck' flying in and out of The Middle East.
My son Kimbo is a constant traveller. He has recently been in Dubai (lucky escape), and is just about to go to Egypt.
I have suggested that he takes a Flack Jacket, and Armoured Sombrero; just in case. I believe he is going where it is considered 'safe', but you can't trust those crazy Iranians.
Meanwhile, Lady M is building sandcastles on a small Thai island with Boo Boo and The Cherub.
I am staying at home with Billy, and crossing my fingers!

Just look at Lady M in shorts on that white sand beach! Youre really missing out on a sunny winter holiday.
The middle Eastern war has turned the whole world upside down. So many flights used to go through Dubai or Qatar. We know someone stuck in Dubai. I hope Egypt is safe. It seems OK at the moment but we're all too close to be complacent.
The US has bases in Crete and Greece has now sent ships down to Cyprus
Nowhere seems safe. I'm wondering if Kimbo will be advised not to go; or even have his flight cancelled.
It does sound as if the Middle east is going through a bit of instability. For fifteen years I worked out there in Egypt, Yemen and Saudi, twice to Somalia the countries were different almost every time I went with the exception of Somalia which was always a shithole full of awful people.
I wish him luck and hope he enjoys the money.
I hope your son will be safe, if he travels to Egypt. Or maybe plans will be cancelled? That beach scene looks like fun.
We used to have a Somalian neighbour who had been their Ambassador to Sweden. He was a bit secretive, and all his extended family also lived here in Brighton. They must have known something!!!
If there's any hint of trouble I'm sure he won't go, but for the moment he says he's not changing his plans.
I had to look twice at that photo. Is it Diana and her two boys?
Some of it is follow your gut instincts and some of it is luck. Let's hope that everyone returns to where they need to be.
Lady M has just informed me that there is no petrol in Thailand, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they DO have aircraft fuel. She's due home on the 11th.
I wish you were blogging from Thailand right now. Billy could have had his own holiday at Leander Kennels - only £33 a day. It would have been cool to see pictures of you strolling along the beach in your pink budgie * smugglers.
*= Your speedos would be pink - not the budgie. Oh wait a minute...!
Believe me; I would love to be there! That sea is beckoning me. I don't think Billy would like going to Kennels, he's too set in his ways.
Safe travels to everyone.
If I didn't have three cats I would happily come down there and dog sit Billy.
That's the important thing these days!!!
A local dog-walker offered her services, but I don't think he'd go with her. He won't even go for a walk with my son, who he adores. He's a strange dog.
The Middle East is a hot bed of war.
My neighbor goes to the ME on business and once told me he was in a coffee shop and minutes later the shop got bombed. (This was before the most recent wars.) I do not believe anything is safe in the ME today.
Presently, Americans are being told to leave.
Kimbo is braver than I am!
Lady M looks fabulous on the beach with her grandsons.
The Egyptians are the best but I wouldn't go there from choice.
I wouldn't want to be going there myself, but I'm sure Kimbo knows what he's doing. I'm not a great traveller!
He's been before and loved it.
No where is safe , I feel this even in rural wales xxx
Generally I feel quite safe. However, we were burgled in France a couple of years ago, and have since installed a security system. Here in Brighton I feel as if we are beyond both Putin's and Iran's clutches. We shall see!
