So glad you are better looking in real life. Even when ill.
ReplyDeleteTalking about still being alive. Some years ago my then father-in-law (RIP) told me that most people die at four o'clock in the morning. Where he got that piece of crap from (though apparently true) I do not know. I blame the Telegraph - a paper he took, every day.
Upshot being that that information had a huge impact on me. Which is hardly surprising since I was brought up on a rich diet of Brothers Grimm grim tales, Anderson's and other noir Northern folk tales. Where others see mist among the trees I see a man hanging from a tree (true story).
So, guess what: I wake, every night, at four - give a minute or two either side. I find myself already in position - on my back, hands folded across my chest. Being blessed with extraordinary patience I lie there and WAIT. Before getting up in order to defy the oracle.
As you can see I made it today - as indeed have you.
And do remember: The ascent may strenuous. When on the descent you need to put the brakes on.

That's it. Just hit a few keys. Proves you are still with us!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a swift recovery from your germs.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're still here.. a little more and it's behind you.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great picture of you. Compliments to Lady Magnon for snapping it. You really are a handsome beast. Losing the beard was a marvellous idea but in the photo it seems to be growing back.
ReplyDeleteChin up
ReplyDeleteLots of fluids
Sorry to hear you are both unwell. Hoping you recover soon.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself,
ReplyDeleteDear Cro (and Lady M) take care, look after yourselves and please do take a photo of yourself in those smart pyjamas when you are recovered
ReplyDeleteMust say, Cro, this virus has really hit you hard - you don't look like you at all!
ReplyDeleteI thought the same, CG. And WHY would you struggle from bed in the middle of a dreadful virus to shave off your beard??? Hmmmmm...I call BS. He's obviously not as sick as he is trying to make us believe. I think he is just trying to get out of walking Billie.
DeleteI didn't realise you were so handsome!
ReplyDeleteOh no, I wouldn't have recognized you at the airport.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, my friends.
Hoping you will soon be feeling much better.
ReplyDeleteIf that photo says anything, it looks like the virus/Covid has temporarily knocked your socks off. In 7 days (give or take), you'll be good as new!
ReplyDeleteKeeping you both in my thoughts and prayers...
ReplyDeleteCovid days number about 7. I guess you know where you are.
ReplyDeleteThat is a very sad looking face. It will be over soon, just keep resting and drink plenty of water.
ReplyDeleteSad to hear that you both have been unwell..but glad that you are improving
