Nothing changes.

These are my daughter's two dogs out in Brisbane, Oz.

Obviously the same rules apply in her house as they do in ours.

Rule No 1: Absolutely no dogs allowed on the sofas!!!

Oh, all right. Go on then.

The weather in Brisbane has been awful, which is why the girls look very fed up.

  1. I just love those dogs. It is dreadful in Qld at present; I rang my sister in law who lives in The Gap, although she is safe, other areas are in a very bad way. And it's worsening in the Northern Rivers region of NSW with people standing on roofs in Lismore waiting to be rescued.

    1. My daughter's garden is flooded. The dogs are limited in outdoor activities.

  2. Dogs that are loved obviously - and boy do they know it. Lovely animals.
I've heard that the rains in Brisbane have caused flooding. Reminds me of the floods there a few years ago. My brother was stuck on the 5th floor for three or four days .
I'm sure they need rain, but not that much

    1. It never rains, but it pours! Her previous home(Nr Rockhampton) was on high ground, and every time it flooded nearby, all kinds of animals would find refuge on her garden.

  3. It was sad to hear a woman taking refuge from flood waters by sitting on her roof say that her dog was still inside the flooded house. Another dog was drowned in a car along with its owner. Your daughter's dogs are fortunate, even if they don't understand. Very sad times for some, as I am sure you know.

    1. Yes, flooding is a horrible thing. And very distressing for animals too.

  4. What handsome dogs. Yes, we intended to have the same rule for our dog. It lasted all of five minutes.

    1. I'm sure everyone says the same, and we all come to the same inevitable result.

    1. I have a feeling that they've told my daughter that in no circumstances is she allowed on the sofa.

    1. They're lovely dogs. Both rescue dogs, I believe.

  7. To what breed do those two handsome dogs belong and what are their names?

    1. I think they're Aussie Allsorts, and one of them is called Missy; not sure about the other.

    2. That's funny. I thought they were Magnon pointers.

  8. Our pets do like their creature comforts and there's no denying them. My dog now owns the love seat. It is known as, "Caesar's" couch.

    1. I think one should face facts, and buy them their own mini sofas.

  10. I am so sorry for all that flooding and four days of rain at once. May your daughter, her family and her dogs stay safe.

    1. Her basement was flooded, and a lot of the roads impassable.

  11. The very definition of hangdog look.

  12. The dogs are beautiful. Our german shepherd would get onto the big couch and when we frowned at him he would ease back onto the floor and look sheepish, until our backs were turned.
