It may not yet be Croquet standard, but it looks much better than before. Well done Rory; he started first go. I also managed to mow Haddock's, but with the ordinary mower.

Well done Rory and the driver (rider?).
ReplyDeleteIt was good to have it done; even if it didn't really need it.
DeleteThat’s a lot of grass to mow!
ReplyDeleteThat's only part of it, there's a lot more up behind the house!
DeleteLike when you ask a barber for a tidy up, and not really any length cut off. Rory powered into action then.
ReplyDeleteExactly that Andrew, everything is now the same length; for a week or so!
DeleteGreat mowing. You're one up on us. Still too cold here to even think of sitting in the sun.
ReplyDeleteIt won't last. Mother Nature is playing with us again.
DeleteYou'd sink into the grass here in West Wales!
ReplyDeleteIt was like that here only a few days ago. Amazing what a couple of dry sunny days will do.
DeleteLooks good. Ours is still far too sodden to attempt even walking on it let alone cut it.
ReplyDeleteI may do the rest this afternoon; we'll see.
DeleteThat's it spring is here.
ReplyDeleteI'm presuming you're stroking your lucky Rabbit's foot.
DeleteJob well done...and contributions to Haddock's compost heap as well!
ReplyDeleteRory ejects by the side, our other one collects via the rear and contributes.
DeleteThat's a lot of grass to cut! I trust that you enjoyed riding on Rory. Didn't he require lubrication?
ReplyDeleteKind words, a damp rag, and gentle persuasion.
DeleteEverything looks so much better when the lawn is mowed doesn’t it ? Well done Rory .... & you of course ! XXXX
ReplyDeleteIt makes all the difference to a garden. Everything else can be a total mess, but as long as the lawn is mowed....
DeleteYour land is very nice and flat and easily taken care of with a riding lawn mower.
ReplyDeleteI've just been mowing up at the barn and builders' lorries have left deep ruts in the lawns.... not so nice!
DeleteI am always impressed to see someone who fights on the side of lawn order.
ReplyDeleteThat is the worst joke I've heard all day. Thank you Debby!
DeleteAll you need now is a few mole hills..
ReplyDeleteThey're already there. The devils.
DeleteBeautiful yard and hillside. You do live in a wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteThe landscape here is 'rolling'; nothing too mountainous, and nothing too flat. I find it perfect.
DeleteVery straight lines, I see. Much practice, no?
ReplyDeleteIt looks better if they're straight. It shows more when the grass is more lush.
DeleteWell, you put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteGood. It did on mine too.
DeleteI bet it smells wonderful after mowing
ReplyDeleteEspecially after that first mow of the year. Lovely.
