Mr White (son of chef).

Not so fun now: Marco was left stunned as the full scale of his antics with the actress, 30, were shown to him - followed by the hammer-blow that his fiancĂ©e Kim Melville-Smith had failed to turn up for the show

I don't watch 'Reality TV Shows'; I like to think that I still have some functioning brain (and reasonable taste), and I'm not particularly interested in watching other people have 'sex'.

But these shows appear to be popular, and are no doubt partly responsible for the ongoing decline and fall of the UK; not that I wish to put myself forward as an arbiter of public morality.

The idea of putting a bunch of Z listers in a pretend TV house, then waiting to see who shags who first, is to my mind rather abhorrent.

Mr White (with the tattoos above) may have his adoring pre-pubescent fans, but to most of us he's simply an attention-seeking half-witted Neanderthal lookalike. Unfortunately he now has that celebrity status which he so desperately sought.

Well, at least his mother loves him; actually I was just reading that she doesn't!

  1. Good grief is that what passes for entertainment over there - I don't know whether it does here or not I hope it doesn't.

    1. I'm afraid so, and it produces hundreds of 15 minute wonder celebs who quickly become disillusioned.

  2. It sounds as though the UK has already declined and fallen, if that's the level of "entertainment" available.

  3. Perhaps a bunch of us could sabotage a programme, pretend we're up for debauchery and then sit in the house putting the world to rights and playing scrabble? x

  4. Think you are insulting the Neanderthals there;) But of course British television has been going downhill for a long time, it is centred on 'self' worship...

    1. Informative, educational, entertaining, fun, or even provocative; most of these themes seem to have been sidelined.

  5. W H A T ? I obviously watch the wrong programmes. Or, to you and I obviously, the right ones. I wasn't aware that such programmes existed now. The one I can recall was, I think the first, and was called Big Brother and was decades ago. I did watch the one filmed on Taransay: the Island off the Isle of Harris. The inhabitants who were supposed to be marooned on the Island for 6 months were often seen in the supermarket in Stornoway.

    1. I think this one is called Big Brother; I usually refer to it as something else. I've never actually seen it, I think it must be on very late.

  7. I believe that fornication happened a lot earlier in the other European BB shows....it appears that sadly we may be catching them up. As for that boy he's a spoilt little plonker. His parents must be so proud! Arilx

  8. Of course this is the way we live in the UK now. I decide who to shag on the way home from work. Saves messing about later.

    1. On the way HOME? I used to select my 'chosen one' on the way IN.

    2. I've had to cut back and give in to the odd hangover - like the one I'm suffering from this morning.

  9. I read about him in the newspaper at the weekend. I think his mother has disowned him!

  12. Reality is really scripted and the writing is very poor. Unfortunately, it has a lot of viewers who are trying to escape from the noises of the world.

    1. I certainly think these people are encouraged to behave as outrageously as possible; whether or not it improves their ratings, I'm not sure. I read about it all in the papers; and wish I hadn't!

  13. Have never watched a reality show Cro and have no intention of doing so. Love your last line - a real punch line if ever there was one.
