A diverse offering twixt the interesting, the unusual, and the amusing.
Well done!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks OK, doesn't it.
DeleteNow they're making loads of mess elsewhere, they don't seem to be happy unless they're living amongst CHAOS.
What is that pink flower - hard to make it out.
DeleteIt's Lavatera; fantastic plant that never fails.
DeleteLooks great (until winter!)
ReplyDeleteWe're trying to encourage some Ivy behind all the deciduous stuff. It'll take a while.
DeleteWhat nasty orange wall? It looks good Cro, you've done an excellent job, and it seems all the rain you've had has given you lush plants.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly has, unfortunately the weight of all the water pulls them down as well.
DeleteWhat a beautiful sight; it reminds me of a poem:
ReplyDeleteNature Will Reclaim
"One day nature will revolt
Flowers will bloom..."
Thunder and raining here this morning. What a slow summer we're having so far this years!
Greetings Maria x
Maria, I think our Summer is just about to start. We have guests coming from California, so I do hope we have sunshine for them.
DeleteI remember the ugly yellow wall.Good job.
ReplyDeleteLooks a lot better, don't you think?
DeleteYes it is.
DeleteClematis montana??
ReplyDeleteThe pink flowers are Lavatera, but we do have a Montana on the 'tower'.
DeleteThe offending wall has miraculously disappeared. Well done, Cro. You've chosen well. It's amazing what a bit of judicious planting does.
ReplyDeleteOver the years I've managed to block out my neighbours (and they me). It was a joint effort and we are well pleased. No more eye contact over the not-high-enough fence when we are pottering quietly in the garden (though they are not nearly as quiet as me, but that's another story!).
Neighbours are all well and good, but only when you want them to be! Ours (behind the wall) are noisy, and messy, and seem to have an aversion to finishing any job they start. It used to be such a beautiful house.
DeleteI shall avoid the subject of neighbours (it only takes one out of a whole load of great ones) and concentrate of Lavatera. They are wonderful plants because they can survive in a climate like yours and absolutely love the salt-laden winds here on Lewis a hundred yards or so from the sea.
ReplyDeleteThey are what's known as a 'good doer'. Perfect for non flower people such as myself. Stick a piece of twig in the ground, and about two years later you have a huge flowering bush.
DeleteGood work there Cro.
ReplyDeleteArilx
Yay!
DeleteSummer is good for wall.
ReplyDeleteWinter is good for mountain.
DeleteThey need you in Badminton village.
ReplyDeleteI'm available (at a price).
DeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteIt does the job!
DeleteSomehow, I hear the Ghostbuster theme song when I see how you've taken care of that eyesore.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes.
I just wish all his eyesores could be fixed as easily; GHOSTBUSTERS!
Deletegood job well done - and you say you don't have greenfingers!
ReplyDeleteVery amateur green fingers perhaps.
DeleteGreat photos! Thanks for the share!
