It may seem as if I'm always buying wheelbarrows, but I just couldn't resist this particular beauty.
It's an extremely rare 'collectors limited edition' 2015 special; very few of which have been made available to the public.
So what, I hear you asking, is so special about it?
Well, IT CAME READY BLOODY ASSEMBLED; that's what.... Bloody miracle; I almost bought four!
and very flash it looks too. What is it made of? galvanised iron??
ReplyDeleteCheap pressed steel I think. The shine should last until the weekend.
DeleteI've just been using it, and I think it probably is galvanised.
DeleteGood design. Roll bumper well-placed for easy dumping.
ReplyDeleteI also bought one last week but it was red with yellow wheels, smaller and expensive made of plastic, for the grandkids, (it was about 30 euro, )
ReplyDeleteMine was €29.90..... Cheap.
DeleteIt almost looks to good to use.
ReplyDeleteIt looks nice and wide too, I cannot stand narrow barrows.
ReplyDeleteWheel barrow envy here (sad b*****d that I am)
ReplyDeleteIt looks good...is it well balanced
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to associate you with wheelbarrows in the same way you associate me with felling axes.
ReplyDeleteSomething assembled - truly a rare find.
ReplyDeleteI bought a new barbecue last year it took me two days to build it....
ReplyDeleteI've had several of those, and several self-assemble wheelbarrows too.
DeleteThat's a fine looking wheelbarrow. Paul still has his old red one from his days as a Red Barrow Pilot.
ReplyDeleteWas he really one of the Red Barrows? They were wonderful.
DeleteI like the idea of the red barrows! We have a red barrow courtesy of my brother in law who has a welding building in our yard - he made the whole thing about thirty years ago from a sheet of metal. It is still going strong although it weighs a ton (not a bad thing as it precludes me having to push anything in it).
ReplyDeleteAND, it has metal handles! Here in the US they sell wheelbarrows with wooden handles. Wood that will deteriorate in no time and long before the bucket. Try replacing those wooden handles. I guess they want us to buy another wheelbarrow!
ReplyDeleteI haven't got a wheelbarrow, I expect the gardener to bring is own.
ReplyDeleteA limited collector's edition now with provenance!
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty. I only have problems with the wheels. Either it goes flat and can't be fixed without buying a new wheel. I have my eye on one with two from wheels so I don't flip over the top when the one wheel digs in. And, in the States, they all come assembled.
ReplyDeleteDonna, hardly anything comes assembled in Europe.
DeleteCro... our n'new Gamm Vert...
ReplyDeletethey've dropped the Point Vert thingy at last....
is currently selling ready-assembled "brewetz"...
look tinnier than that one...
but, you can't please some people...
a pair were ahead of us in the queue...
and asked for tools to take the wheel off so they could get it in their car!!
And, Donna B....
beware, the twin-wheeled ones have a tippy problem...
especially when loading...
get the load too near the front...
and, ooops! Start again!
And it can happen when evenly loaded...
if you hit something...
large stone or branch, usually...
and it's....
ooops! Start again!
Oh, and I have had to make all paths wide enough to accommodate ours...
the missus prefers her single wheel barrow...
and for a flat, use a motorbike puncture repair aerosol...
works every time...
and enough stays fluid inside to mend....
and thus avoid, all future punctures.
