Turner Prize 2010.

Dexter Dalwood didn't win this year's Turner Prize, so I'll be eating my rice-paper hat. It was won by a Scottish woman who sings badly under bridges. I shall make no further comment.

Think Matisse, Kitaj, Hockers, and Michael Andrews. Dalwood is a real thinking painter's painter. The above is entitled 'The Liberace Museum'. Delicious painting.

Do look up his work. It deserves a viewing; even if he didn't get the dosh.

  1. Not only does she sing badly under bridges, she sings Scottish folk songs badly under bridges - unforgivable.

  2. Ghastly! Where the hell does Mr Turner find his judges?

  3. I like the painting on the wall in the picture.

  4. Cro - I've just looked up Dexter Dalwood on Google. And I agree with everything you're saying. His work is THE BEST. My favourite picture of his though is the one called 'Cold War.' But in saying that, they're all pretty stunning.

  5. Yep, fabulous painting. Didn't mind the singing under bridges per se, just not Turner Prize material. A bit like me offering my tasty enough home cooking as Masterchef stuff - it's quite good in its way, but it's not art. Dalwood by contrast, is.
