Buying clothes (or shoes) online, is fraught with danger. Your package could contain too small, too big, wrong colour, cheap and tacky, or just plain unlike anything you thought you'd ordered.
I needed a new 'working jacket'; something any self respecting painter could wear without feeling ashamed of him/herself.
I rather fancied a classic French Blue Workman's jacket; but in black. I couldn't find one, but I've seen them around, being worn; so they must be available somewhere.
What I did find was the below. A classic working man's jacket, made from heavy denim, and with plenty of pockets for pencils pens etc.
The jacket was originally priced online at €25, but had been reduced to about €10.50 including postage.
When it came to payment time it actually cost €7.50 including postage. A bloody bargain if ever there was one.
I'm pleased to say, it's the perfect size, the quality is far better than I'd expected, and, look, it even has a little fancy lining inside the top.
I can still hardly believe that it turned out so well. It came from that well known French Maison de haute couture, Kiabi (ahem). It didn't say where it was made, but I have my suspicions.

I'm very wary of the sizes shown on clothes. I once bought a pair of shirts from George at Asda, supposed to be the same size. First one wouldn't fasten, so small; second one went round me twice.

Wear it in good health. Don't forget to spit three times on it. Don't want jealous little kalikatzari ripping one of the pockets, or worse.
With the beard and the beret you must really fit into the landscape now.

I love clothes like that. Clothes designed for women are short on practical pockets. I want!
Well, wherever it was made it looks pretty good for that price. Perhaps it came from the same place that makes clothing for high-end retailers?
The lining is a bonus; very chic!
I am very reluctant to buy clothes online, I always imagine they won't fit.
I won't try-on clothes in shops. I buy what I hope will fit and cross my fingers.
I was very surprised by the lining; you're right, it really is very chic.
I shall wear it with my striped T Shirt, and string of Onions.
It's already been through the washing machine. I never wear new clothes until they've been washed. It didn't shrink, and stayed the same colour.
You can't have enough deep pockets on a work jacket; it fits the bill.
Here, you could hardly buy the required amount of denim for that price. When you think of how many people need to make a profit before it reaches the eventual purchaser, it hardly seems possible.

I certainly do. I'm not a big spender, and very rarely buy clothes, but when I do, and they turn out so well, I'm over the moon.
You probably don't remember, but I used to wear one of those (with metal buttons) right the way through art school.

I buy all my clothes on line now Cro and I have just a few chosen suppliers which I know from experience have quality clothes and their sizing is right for me. I love your jacket. The last time I went to China I bought a very similar working jacket which I had until very recently - so I have my suspicions too.
I remember it well. This one is very similar; metal buttons-n-all.

What a bargain! I bought a similar jacket from TOAST in the UK. It was made in Turkey and cost many multiples of your purchase . I don't even like it- it's heavy and boxy. I've washed it half a dozen times to try and soften it up without success.

This does have that Chinese look about it. Functional, hard wearing, no nonsense. The fancy lining was probably specially for the western market.
'Heavy and boxy' sounds like mine, but that's what I was after. It's something I can wear at all times and not look too scruffy.
Another 2B pencil user I'm pleased to see. Pockets are an essential part of any decent jacket design.

Tasker, for years I kept a pencil behind my right ear much to the amusement of many people. Then I started wearing spectacles. It ruined the habit because I kept losing pencils.

A 2B is the best drawing pencil. I used to have boxes of them; I need to restock.
I've never been a 'behind my ears' type. My pencils usually go in a top pocket. But my spex would also hinder matters anyway.

That is a good looking jacket. You lucked out. It is difficult buying clothing on line because there are so many scams out there.
It's not something I intend to make a habit of, I usually prefer to handle things before I buy.
There's nothing wrong with KIABI. It's not exactly haute couture but then it isn't Primark either. It was definitely a bargain though! I didn't even realize they sold online, so there's something new!
That's a crazy prize! It's a very well made garment and I like the fancy lining ... 2B are the best. Why did we get lumbered with HB a school?
My dad wanted a shirt like that to carry his camera bits and pieces. I bought a regular shirt and added more pockets.
If I'd replaced the KIABI label with a YSL one; no-one would have been surprised. Their online page is very comprehensive.
The fancy lining is areal bonus. When I start wearing it I shall be happy to drape it over the back of a chair with the lining showing.
I think it'll age beautifully too.
