Happy Birthday
Today is my birthday; when I look at the new number, it makes me feel very, very, old. I'm not sure if I'll do anything special later, I may just try to forget about it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!
Happy birthday to you! All wonderful people are born in July (mine was six days ago - ha ha). I hope you spend your day in whatever way brings you contentment.-Jenn
Have a lovely day Cro, and Happy Birthday. My next in October is a " half" big one! Not really looking forward to it. I still feel 30 in my head but the old bod tells a different story!
I'm well on my way to being a 'codger' too. I sing the Happy Birthday song to myself (last week) as a dirge: Happy Birthday, Oh happy birthday. Death and misery in the air; people dying everywhere - but happy birthday, oh happy birthday.....
Well Happy Birthday Cro! You didn't mention your age (on purpose?) but Happy Birthday anyway. DH and myself hit the big 7-5 this month... yep! old! Have a nice dinner - but do be careful. I'm sure the virus isn't as bad where you are, but still...
Happy Birthday to you, Cro! I expect by now you've had your dinner out with Lady M and had a delightful time, and how nice to have someone else cook for the two of you for a change! Even if you're planning to forget the reason, you might like to report back the sights and smells of Going Out for the likes for whom it's a mere memory :) xx
THE BELLS ..... THE BELLS ..........

*I guess we all have good things and bad things about where we live. One of
the lovely things about where our house is, is that it's a stones throw

Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone (except the obdurate and dictatorial) is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 50 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live between an ancient cottage in a tiny village in perfectly tranquil French countryside, and a bijou townhouse in Brighton UK. In France we have plenty of fruit trees, all situated amongst a view that takes the breath away, in the UK we have a handkerchief sized patio. We also have a Border Collie called Billy. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!
My numbers keep going way up also !
