Frank Vignola and Bucky Pizzarelli perform Moonglow
I love to see true craftsmanship in whatever arena. Here are Bucky P and Frank Vignola showing their undoubted musical talents (Bucky is the older one!).
Tiny bit of blue sky here this morning Cro - so I am hoping that your weather eventually drifts over this way. That guitar playing does absolutely nothing for my confidence in the ukulele! It was brilliant and looked so effotless - but of course wasn't - it involved hours and hours of work.
And a very busy week it'll be too. All my winter tasks have to be finished, and spring tasks undertaken. As I said to Weave; today is compost heap day.
Roast Turkey! I always buy two at Christmas; one of which goes into the freezer for Easter. 4.5 kilos of deliciousness; I love the smell of roasting Turkey.
Awesome, beautiful music! I loved it. I'm trying to give my lawn it's first mowing this year & it's kicking my ass! I'm on my 3rd day and still have only done 1/4 of the front. I have a self-propelled push mower, but it's still rough. My bad hip/knee/back are screaming with pain. I've tried to find a reasonably priced mower service to no avail. I'm poor as a church mouse since husband got on meth & flew the coop. Then the hot water heater went out & I can't light it. I bruised my knees trying. I have to laugh because I feel like Job. What next?! Happy Easter, Cro. Your song cheered me greatly! xo
I very nearly gave all my grass a SECOND mowing yesterday, but my wife stopped me; she thought I was overdoing things. If the weather is OK, I'll do it today. There's a lot to do!
New names for me; really enjoyed their performance. Are you familiar with Bireli Lagrene and Sylvain Luc? They do a lovely guitar duet of "Isn't She Lovely? on Youtube". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0QHmsa26C0

Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone (except the obdurate and dictatorial) is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 50 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live between an ancient cottage in a tiny village in perfectly tranquil French countryside, and a bijou townhouse in Brighton UK. In France we have plenty of fruit trees, all situated amongst a view that takes the breath away, in the UK we have a handkerchief sized patio. We also have a Border Collie called Billy. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!
Happy Easter to you, Lady M and lovely family.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Maria x

Just had a look. Amazing stuff. I hadn't heard of them, but there are loads of great musicians I've never heard of.
