It reminds me of one of those Pathe News war clips. Having said that....like the hat Cro. It looks as though it has seen some life.

Davey Crockett, king of the wild frontier comes to mind. You need to be of a certain generation to understand the reference.

Very fetching hat, Cro. It's just missing the raccoon's tail.

Very stylish!

Any man who wears a hat should have a thick skin too.

Cro Magnon said...

If you want to get a-head, get a hat.

I've got one of these speciMEN. A bearded one with a hat very similar.
He's not allowed to wear it when we're out together.

Ho, ho, ho .... Merry Christmas Pére Nöel. Are there any department stores near you who need a Father Christmas Cro ? You would make a brilliant one. XXXX

Frankly I'm surprised that I didn't have similar icicles on my beard.

I have the suit.

Nor am I Patricia; strictly for chez nous.

I like the hat; it looks like just the thing for a cold morning walk.

Very distinguished in my view. If you were a famous explorer/adventurer/sailor or the like people would just admire the 'craggy' look. I find you very attractive in that garb - no fears Lady M - I am on my last legs here and rarely travel further than the nearest town.

He, or she, that does the dog walk first thing in the morning deserves some leeway in hat-wear. It's been a bit parky the last few days.

Her brother.

Essential Jennifer.

Cro Magnon said...

Even we painters are a bit 'craggy' occasionally. I'm on my last legs too.

It was all white again this morning, with a very cold clinging fog. No sunshine at all today.

You look like the wild man of the woods or Davy Crockett's grandad.

I'm 71 and the older I get the less I care what others think I want comfort and warmth, no longer a slave to fashion. Looks good and warm.

That photo turned my day into sunshine. Been raining most of the day here

Given this morning's weather...
just the garb!

Given the rain for the rest of the day...
a sou'wester would have been better!

His Parisian, get the tractor in, neighbours from hell...

donna baker said...

got my husband a similar hat and he wouldn't wear it. Shackleton would have loved it.

You wear it well. Bet it keeps your pate toasty warm. It's turned sharpish cold here, we had snow between Sunday evening and Monday morning, and it' s not all melted away yet.

Doc said...

You look like that Warner Brothers cartoon character Elmer Fudd

Cro Magnon said...

I totally agree.

Cro Magnon said...

Our rain arrives today, I believe.

Are you sure?
