This morning, I just happened to be wandering 'lonely as a cloud' when I spotted the first Daffodils of spring. It's amazing how they instantly raise your spirits. Soon we shall have Cowslips, Buttercups, and Dandelions. At daybreak today there was yet another white frost and the temperature at 8am was minus 3 C. It is now mid-day and we have bright sunshine and about 10 C. I wonder how long it'll be before we hear the first Cuckoo or spot the first Cranes, high above us, returning to their warm-weather homes?
