DeleteHis words have stood the test of time, many of which were ahead of his time. I am a great fan of Russell and recommend all volumes of his autobiography as essential reading for all.

DeleteIn France 'Philosophy' is the first paper one sits for the annual Baccalaureate exams (A Levels). Philosophers are taken very seriously, both present and past.
DeleteWhen teaching, my philosophy always was that 'education' should provoke questions, not provide answers. I stressed this to my pupils of all ages, and I think they understood and appreciated it.
DeletePhilosophy departments and courses offered in applied philosophy in English universities are on the decline so I was told by my Philosophy teacher two years ago.
