Sadly, this is exactly how it was. One minute you promise people one thing, then once you've gained their confidence, you kick them where it hurts.
Shouldn't this type of electoral fraud be punishable by law? If I had my way the fragrant Yvette Cooper would up before The Beak, and sentenced to five years hard Labour (which is what the rest of us have got!).

65 I think, but I'm not sure.

I have been robbed of £50,000. I have to wait until I'm 66 before I get my state pension. I have no workplace pension as I was a stay at home mum when my children were little. When they were all at school, I did low paid jobs with no pension benefits.
I have never, ever received any notification of the pension changes by letter.
The thing that angers me is the government call it a benefit. It is not a benefit. I have paid my contributions in full. It's shameful.
I don't know the 'ins and outs' of the scandal, what concerns me most was this downright lying by a future government minister. No-one seems to be doing anything about it.

All politicians lie but this lefty lot do seem particularly adept at lying.
Still it's nice to see them keeping a balance, whilst Cooper attacks the old Harman supports PIE. Horrible people.
They don't seem keen on old people. I suppose if there were fewer of them, it would cost less. Harman is an oddball.
66 for women born before 1960 and 67 for men. It is being more gradually increased for younger generations. My son, who is 44 thinks it will be 70 before he receives his state pension.
I receive nothing, so I wouldn't know.

It's all one big money-saving exercise. If the government were to encourage 'enterprise', they might find that there was enough money to go round.
Pensions are not what they used to be. Today, many companies offer no pension. People are expected to plan and provide for their own retirement income.
Social Security in the US is provided as long as you have a work history of paying into the system.
I have no pension; I made my own provisions! I think it's better to have a state pension.
