The longest reign of any British Monarch & the longest recorded of any female head of state in history..... she was an amazing woman and Queen , she was always there and I shall miss her. We will do her proud today. XXXX
She made the world a better place and has my utter respect. I was listening to a podcast today which described how governments of the big four overseas western queendoms would approach the palace with requests for changes to her status or alteration of words that stated her role in her Commonwealth Countries and she never said no but would make her feelings known and would negotiate. She always kept such matters very quiet so no leader would end up looking rejected. Real skill.
I shall miss her immensely, for her grace, elegance, kindness, courage, diplomacy, and most of all her service to us! Rest gently Elizabeth, with Philip at your side.
Gone forever is the twinkle in her eyes. I hope at least one of the grandchildren or great grandchildren inherit that from her along with her good nature.
Farewell sweet Majesty and thank you.

ReplyDeleteI note her hair went grey in the 1980s and white by 2012.
DeleteI wish I could stay home and watch the funeral today. RIP to your lovely Queen.
ReplyDeleteAnother page turns in the book of our British history. A history envied around the world. Watching it all now on ITV....not the BBC.
