Easy and I bet delicious on your salads, another taste entirely from the normal vinagrette. No raspberries here so I won't be making that but I have found a tree with walnuts. Now I just have to pick some walnuts before they get too old. And capers are possibly ready for picking. I need to go out and investigate. Enjoy your summer meals
I remember years ago an old lady told me to ask our chemist to make some up for my young son who had a bad cough and cold. This was when the pharmacy was behind a separate screen. It certainly relieved the symptons. Old remedy.
I'd sooner use the raspberries and sugar with a blended whisky. May take a while longer to become drinkable, more like 24 months.
ReplyDeleteI need the vinegar for my summer salads, now't else will do.
DeleteIs this recipe from "Minimalist Food" by Crozier Magnum?
ReplyDeleteIt actually comes from 'I taught my grandmother to suck eggs' cookbook.

Do you grow the capers, or pick them wild?
DeleteWhen I told someone that's all there was to making it they didn't believe me.
ReplyDeleteI make it for the Christmas Hampers - always looks good.
The taste is nothing like the commercial product, which I suspect is made with Raspberry flavouring. Nice presents.
DeleteSounds easy. Even I could do that...possibly.
ReplyDeleteIt's child's play, and you make it as sweet as you like. It's wonderful on cooked sliced Beetroot.
DeleteRaspberries and beetroot....heavenly idea!
DeleteIt's surprisingly good.

ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to be good for sore throats too.
DeleteSimple enough. I love raspberries and probably would eat them before putting vinegar on them.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they are unusable after the process, but we have plenty.
DeleteSounds great! We've got a few weeks to go until we have raspberries. We're in for a treat.
ReplyDeleteWe're in full flow here, I shall be jam making again tomorrow.
DeleteThanks, Cro. It makes me smile to see a towel in use. With raspberries, no less.
ReplyDeleteThey are in daily use Joanne, for which I thank you again.
