We are always finding Victorian crockery, clay pipes, old nails ….. I even found a mourning vase once. I rather like finding these things. It's a nice part of living in an old house. Our present house is late Victorian but the house before was 17th Century where we found an old leather shoe and a petrified rat !!!! XXXX
Kind of appropriate as I am saying "hello" for the first time. Just popped over from Natalie's and rather love your blog. I'm your new follower from Ontario, Canada. Deb
How funny! I was forever finding body parts of dolls, action men, lego people and all sorts when the kids were little! It was like a toy graveyard out there!
Really strang but not the worst parts you can find.

ReplyDeleteWell, at least you can play 'marbles'; I can't play 'arms'.

ReplyDeleteIn the UK we used to find clay pipes all the time, here it's usually bits of old plates or pots.
