This Last Week.

We are reliably informed that the recent Spanish and Portuguese power failures were due to their illogical obsession with 'Net Zero'. Miliband (above) is trying to do the same in the UK, and he HAS to be stopped. My advice to government is to have a bit of everything; wind, solar, nuclear, coal, hydro, etc. That way the reliance isn't on just one or two things. Miliband could bring the UK to its knees, just as they did in Spain; people are quite naturally calling for him to be sacked.

Here in the UK, we have now exceeded 10,000 illegal immigrants this year. Whatever plans they have in mind to solve this problem (and I include the Tories); they ain't working! Perhaps it's time to look across The Pond to see how Tr*ump's simple plan is doing.

It's looking like 'trouble ahead'. The Unions representing Nurses, Teachers, and Council staff, are all threatening to strike. Rachel from Accounts has told them "Any inflation-busting pay rises must be met by cuts to services". As you might imagine, the Unions aren't happy!

Socialist MP, Clive Lewis, has been in the poo. He posted criticism of Keir Starmer on X, accusing him of 'Taking Israel's money and orders'. The post showed a destressing photo of a 'Palestinian' child 'trying to smile and show love'.  In fact the photo was of a Turkish child with a rare skin disease, and nothing to do with either Israel or Gaza. Lewis has been severely reprimanded. That antisemitic label just won't go away.

Poor old M & S have been under cyber attack this week. A group of hackers have infiltrated their online system and caused havoc. The group known as 'Scattered Spider' is thought to be made-up of over 1,000 young men in both the UK and USA, and they demand sums of up to £10 Million to return things to normal. Scotland Yard (Plod) is on the case!

The last remaining of the well-loved High Street stores, BEALES, is to close on May 31st. The stores had been running for 144 years, and they are now holding their final 'Rachel Reeves Closing Down Sale'. Our poor old High Streets will never be the same again. She has done so much damage to businesses, and many can no longer survive. I wonder if she's worried about it at all? We also hear that the well-loved 100 year old Moorcroft Pottery Company is to close down; they were one of our late Queen's favourite pottery companies. Sadly they could no longer cope with Reeves's punitive costs increases. One has to wonder who or what will be next!

You may find it difficult to believe this next piece of news; but it's 100% TRUE. The English Football Association have banned men, or transgender men, from playing in women's football teams. Logically, one has to presume that previously they HAD NOT been banned. Of course the Lesbian/Gay community are up in arms about it, calling the decision 'Trans Apartheid'. Did anyone know that men had been playing in our Women's teams; representing England even? I certainly didn't!

And finally some VERY GOOD NEWS to end the week. The Ginger Winger has lost his silly court case. He will NOT be receiving Full-Tax-Payer-Funded Police Protection when (or even if) he visits the UK again. His court fees allegedly amount to £1.5 Million; enough to have paid for hundreds of private security guards. I imagine that back in Monty-cheato, there will be some black-looks across the breakfast table!  The Winger has responded by making a truly ridiculous interview with the BBC. As usual, everyone is to blame except him and 'Me-Me'.

Have a good week.

  1. Still more bad news from Blighty.
I'm glad to hear H's lawsuit is over. Now maybe he will get back to doing good which he sometimes seems to be good at

    1. So far he's done nothing but whine. There's really no going back for him now.

    2. It seems his woman is pulling the strings.

  2. Australia showed how to deal with the boat people a decade ago, but the UK government refused to listen, and so the invasion continues.
I see that Mad Milibrain has sacked Dame Mary Archer from her non-executive role on the Climate Change Committee. I knew her many years ago as a supervisor of physical chemistry lab practicals at Oxford, and she was a very smart cookie - there was no way that students could sneak shoddy practical work past her. So, what might have been a lone voice of reason on Net Zero has been silenced. Straight out of the Marxist playbook, don't bother trying to defend your policies through rational argument, just eliminate the opposition.

    1. I was just reading that Miliband had sacked Archer. Eliminating common sense is his only option. I quite expect Miliband himself will be sacked before too long.

    2. Mary Archer is indeed a very clever lady. I knew her in the 1990s and the Anglia TV days and I can say that she is far smarter than her husband and far removed from his antics, and extremely honourable and fair. I often used to wonder what she saw in Jeffrey and she would shrug it off, opposites attract I suppose. Her sacking is yet another indication that Miliband has lost the plot and is deranged, as I said yesterday and the day before and the day before and the day before ...

  3. The problem I have is that though Starmer is a pain the alternatives are far worse. I really can't imagine the lunacy that Milliband or Raynor could come up with. It makes one wonder who votes for such folk. Having said that we all know of someone who voted for O'Mara.

    1. I think that Starmer has 'given-up'. He now sits back and watches the chaos around him, knowing he can do nothing about it. His performances on PMQ's are a disgrace. He never answers a question, he just insults the opposition.

    2. Starmer is lost without a script to read.
I understood that PMQs were all scripted in advance....Happen they aren't.

  4. I am glad The Ginger Whinger (with a royal h) was effectively told to eff off by the court. There's so much I could say about this case but I will just say that his willingness to have a "bare all" TV interview about everything proves that he has learnt nothing. It is wrong to wash dirty linen in public - you should only do that privately. He said he was buggering off to California so why doesn't he keep his promise and stay there - preferably keeping quiet so as not to attract attention?

    1. The worst thing about them both is that it's all based on nonsense. They were both very popular before they started moaning. They've brought it all upon themselves. We all need to forget about them.

    2. I think this is your third post about them in the last month!

  5. Yes, the news about The Ginger Whinger was very good. He might be the King's son but he can't expect to drop his royal responsibilities and still get the perks whenever he feels like popping over. Of course we all know who's to blame for the situation he finds himself in - why ever did he marry her! It was good to read that he feels he can never return to the the UK and bring his family, I hope he keeps that promise. It's been said many times that for a couple who used media attention as an excuse to clear off to a warmer climate, they certainly court as much publicity as they can.

    1. You are 100% correct in everything you say. Frankly I'm amazed that he's still with MM; one would have thought he would have seen the light by now. He's a very silly boy!

  6. Love is blind and H seems to be totally blinded. One day he might see the light of day.
His children are beautiful and happy so that's positive. Hopefully the children will be loved by the UK.
Do look at US immigration. The current policy seems to be one of slash and burn which is not ideal.

    1. The immigration question is a tricky one. No-one wants to end immigration (or even emigration), but nor do we want to see the character of our countries completely change. So many European countries are now regretting their welcoming policy, and they have no idea how to rectify matters, or even how to halt the process. Countries such as Sweden, Germany, The UK, and Ireland, have totally changed, and are unrecognisable from how they were just 50 years ago.

  7. Well, the HBC has gone under. Clearing out the last stores.

When the Americans bought them we knew it was to asset strip as the main stores in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal are valuable real estate.

Founded in 1670, The Company of Officer and Gentlemen trading into the Hudson Bay basically built Canada.

They are even talking about selling the original Charter signed by Charles II

    1. What a shame, it was a Co steeped in history. I think governments should be assisting businesses, not watching them close down.

  8. Sounds all common sense to me. Take the problem and deal with it in a way that makes sense. I am even more in love with you now. ;)
