I landed in Paris after an overnight flight from the US, the customs staff were playing cards, smoking and waiving everyone by. All I could think was "how wonderfully French!"
ReplyDeleteI can remember landing in Miami, and all the customs people seemed like 15 year olds, and all were sitting at very high desks. I found that very strange.
