  3. It reminds me of one of those Pathe News war clips. Having said that....like the hat Cro. It looks as though it has seen some life.

  4. Davey Crockett, king of the wild frontier comes to mind. You need to be of a certain generation to understand the reference.

Very fetching hat, Cro. It's just missing the raccoon's tail.

  5. Any man who wears a hat should have a thick skin too.

  6. I've got one of these speciMEN. A bearded one with a hat very similar.
He's not allowed to wear it when we're out together.

  10. Very distinguished in my view. If you were a famous explorer/adventurer/sailor or the like people would just admire the 'craggy' look. I find you very attractive in that garb - no fears Lady M - I am on my last legs here and rarely travel further than the nearest town.

    1. Even we painters are a bit 'craggy' occasionally. I'm on my last legs too.

  11. He, or she, that does the dog walk first thing in the morning deserves some leeway in hat-wear. It's been a bit parky the last few days.

    1. It was all white again this morning, with a very cold clinging fog. No sunshine at all today.

  16. I'm 71 and the older I get the less I care what others think I want comfort and warmth, no longer a slave to fashion. Looks good and warm.

  19. got my husband a similar hat and he wouldn't wear it. Shackleton would have loved it.

  20. You wear it well. Bet it keeps your pate toasty warm. It's turned sharpish cold here, we had snow between Sunday evening and Monday morning, and it' s not all melted away yet.

  21. You look like that Warner Brothers cartoon character Elmer Fudd
