The UK's only real booming industry is importation. We import lots of undesirable humans.
We send our 'Border Force' boats out into the middle of The Channel to bring them to our shores in their thousands, then we spend more and more money looking after them in nice hotels, etc. We also spend a fortune on lawyers who argue for their 'human rights' when we try to deport them.
Being an illegal immigrant is the only really true expanding business in the UK. The only one where there is no unemployment. The only one where the injection of cash seems endless.
The Labour Party have been holding their annual conference, and Starmer tells us that anyone decrying the seemingly endless invasion (especially Farage and his chums) are RACISTS, and that they "hate Britain". After such a disgusting outburst by a desperate Prime Minister, I am now seriously considering voting for Farage at the next election.
Starmer old chap, I think it's about time you started to see the light. The British people have had enough; they are thoroughly pissed-off with you and your bloody woke-folk human rights.
STOP PRESS: We hear today that the Nephew of a well-known Taliban Commander has been awarded refugee status by an English Immigration Judge, and will be allowed to bring SEVEN family members to join him from Turkey. None of these people speak any English, and none have professions/jobs. They have no connection with the UK whatsoever, and no means of support! Can you imagine what that will cost us? It simply gets worse and wokey-bloody-worse.
Those who try to defend the Britishness of Britain are NOT RACISTS, nor do they 'hate Britain', as Starmer suggests. They are people who pay taxes for the likes of him to squander on pampering foreign illegal immigrants, and they find that very annoying. They are patriots.
And as for him sending in his 'Starmer-troopers' to tear union flags from the hands of teenagers (above), this will only make people more patriotic. He can tear down or confiscate as many of our national flags as he likes, but he will never destroy the British spirit.
If you can't see that, Starmer, then you aren't fit to run a bloody whelk-stall; let alone a whole country.
And, by the way, when you said "Stop the Boats", what did you mean? You are paying £500 Million to France for their assistance with stopping the illegal migrants; so how many have they stopped? Are we getting good value for money?
SOME TIME LATER: Starmer has now stated that Farage is NOT racist, and Lammy has apologised for accusing Farage of being a member of 'Hitler Youth'. They're really getting desperate.
Lammy really showed his grasp of maths and history by his Farage Hitler Youth comment - they were active in the 1930s, making Farage well over 100 years old!!! And this man was until recently our Foreign Secretary!
ReplyDeleteI have also read that that flag-grabbing incident took place alongside others openly waving Palestinian flags, who were allowed to carry on - another example of two-tier policing.
But what else would one expect from a PM who openly claimed to hate the UK and would much rather be in Davos?
I just read that same thing about the flag incident; it's OK now to wave a pro-Hamas flag, but not your own national one. How on earth did we get to this state of affairs!
DeleteHear, hear. I'll vote Reform and have already done so. I have my doubts about Farage but fewer doubts than for any of the others.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to get together with some more seasoned politicians, and maybe change the party name, and there's no question he'll be our next PM.
DeleteI feel that the majority of our politicians are the problem.
DeleteThere are still some good ones out there. It's the dross we need to be rid of.
DeleteSomeone on radio said the Labour party conference did more to boost the Reform party than Farage could do in a year
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. Childish insults do no-one any good. Apologising later makes them look even more foolish.
DeleteThe picture you paint of my beloved country is not one that I recognise. Movement of people - many of them desperate - is a troublesome issue for the western world as a whole - not just Great Britain.
ReplyDeleteIt's not one I wish to recognise either. Something has to be done; we can't go on like this. If they do nothing, it will be up to someone else to do so.
DeleteI like your measured reply, YP. In testing times it's more important than ever to keep a cool head and things in perspective.

I find it very hard to understand how France can be regarded as somewhere to escape from.
DeleteMe too Adrian. If it wasn't for Brexit I would still be there today.
DeleteSpecifically which of Reform’s policies are making you think you might vote for him? You do realise that had the UK not left the EU, this would not have been an issue?
ReplyDeleteHave a red if this to learn a bit more about Nige
Deletehttps://hopenothate.org.uk/2024/09/24/everything-you-need-to-know-farage/
And it doesn’t seem to have been updated on his stance on acetaminophen and autism.
I agree Starmer made a mistake saying Farage hates Britain and calling his supporters racist.
That's the trouble, Traveller. People get hung up on one issue, pour out the baby with the bathwater; when nailed down to the specifics of a party's many and varied suggested policies they look at you in wonderment.
DeleteAs to Brexshite. Don't ask. Or do. I was heartbroken. But, ok. One interpretation put forward that even people who didn't want to exit the EU voted leave. For a laugh! What a lark! Apparently, it was a warning shot to the government of the day. So far so maybe. And many have come to regret it. What I don't understand, to this day, that the referendum was put forward as a NOT legally binding testing of the waters - nothing more. Yet acted upon as if cast in stone.

PS Traveller, my reply to you refers to your first comment [1126 hrs].

Ursula - as to "Brexshite" - maybe you cannot grasp the concept that some citizens of a country would like to exercise control over what that country's leaders/politicians actually do to their country, not have it offloaded to a third party technocracy that has zero interest or concern for their interests?
DeleteHaving said that, thought, since the time of Traitor Blair, much of what happens in the UK is not in the direct control of the politicians, they have offloaded far too much to the faceless bureaucrats that populate the numerous Quangos that control so much of our lives.
As to the "failures" of Brexit, that actually speaks volumes as to the appallingly low standard of politicians that this country has been lumbered with over the past 25+ years.
I have often said that when it came to Brexit those who voted to leave had no idea what they were voting for. Think of it this way - you live in Italy and asked whether you want to remain or leave. you vote to leave. Fine but where are you going? New Zealand, Canada, Gaza or Inner Mongolia! “Leave” wasn’t a solution.
DeleteTraveller - I find your blanket assertion that those who voted 'leave' didn't know what they were voting for rather offensive. I, for one, knew what I wanted from Brexit - an escape from the intolerable mass of red tape that so hamstrung every aspect of life, an escape from the mind-numbingly tortuous processes that seemed designed to ensure that nothing could be done. I wanted to return to the kind of country that had an ability to pilot it's own path, and react more nimbly to changing situations and circumstances. A country that was proud of and respected our common law heritage, and not being swallowed up in a morass of Napoleonic code - we had fought that battle 200 years ago. What has so depressed me
Deletesince that vote has been the utterly shambolic response of our politicians - from claiming to respect the outcome beforehand to trying to get the result overturned or re-run (stand up Starmer, leader of that tribe). Or running away from the "wrong" result - Cameron the coward.
So, Traveller, I voted to not so much 'leave' as to 'return' to an independent country, only to find that country being led by the same Davos inspired and led imbeciles as Brussels.
You had no idea what leave would mean…no one did. As to the Davos, global reset, Soros, shape shifting aliens…
DeleteIf you could give me two examples from the morass of Napoleonic Code, that might help me understand your view
DeleteI am scared - In fact I am traumatised by Starmer - flis x
ReplyDeleteFor ME to even consider voting for Farage says how frustrated I am too with Starmer. He seems to be taking us down further and further into the mire. I really don't think he knows what he's doing. A couple of years ago he stopped a repatriation flight of 40 criminals to Jamaica, now he tells us he wants rid of them. He really should make up his mind. Meanwhile we are slowly becoming a third-world country.
DeleteIt's quite a few years since I've spent any time in the UK, but I keep up with news. Sadly I realise that it's not the country that I left a quarter of a century ago - no doubt a realisation echoed by my parents and grandparents generation after two World Wars.
ReplyDeleteAs to politics - it seems that mud-slinging. pettiness and deformation of character are the way to go - don't bother about the needs of the general public. From a distance there does not seem to be one decent politician worthy of their place in government.
Did I read the other day that Starmer wants Angela Rayner back? Really? Is she the one who made all his decisions?
When I left the UK in 1972, it was a totally different country. I'm shocked by how much it has changed; and will change even more. None of it for the better.
DeleteI think the UK is beginning to resemble the UK of the 1970’s in many respects…the casual racism that was accepted in the 70’s is returning. Did you watch Panorama last night? You can get it on iplayer
DeleteWhen I was much younger, racism simply didn't exist. These days racism, and especially anti-semitism, is everywhere. I really hate it, and it's getting worse.
DeleteRose coloured glasses Cro. The 70’s were a terrible time for racism, sexism and homophobia. people used to think Al Garnett was funny.
DeleteKeep believing in what you do, and you will be willingly complicit in the decline and fall of the UK. It's already well on the way. If I was you, I'd get out now!
DeleteI don’t quite see how believing casual racism is returning to 1970s level is being willingly complicit in the decline of the UK.
DeleteAs to getting out now. I could if I wanted as I have dual nationality.
In my opinion, illegal immigration is a problem in the US too.
ReplyDeleteImmigrants entering legally, gainfully employed and adding to the economy should be welcomed.
US deportation under the name ICE is aggressively detaining and deporting large numbers of immigrants. Some are legal and some are illegal. The courts are dealing with this. It is not an ideal system by a long shot.
Some individuals have families, homes and even successful businesses.
ICE has a sweeping mandate which seems inhumane in some cases.
It has become such a serious problem in the UK, and all over Europe, that people are really worried. Crime has gone crazy, drug gangs are everywhere, and people no longer feel safe on the streets. It's now too late to do anything about it, and our lives have changed for ever!
DeleteThe only people who dispute this are the crazy woke left-wing who are complicit in our country's decline.
