So see... even in the States we have tea time! We were both born and raised in New Orleans where Coffee is King, so coffee is a big part of our lives too. But my dad and his family were from London... so tea was always there. I tend to prefer coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon. Coffee wakes me up and tea is 'comfort'.Rianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09472421271620543536noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-3967895893033883032019-03-10T14:37:02.270+00:002019-03-10T14:37:02.270+00:00There's now't like a nice cuppa. There's now't like a nice cuppa.Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-78377062307097549222019-03-10T14:12:19.199+00:002019-03-10T14:12:19.199+00:00I've started to drink tea again after a coffee...I've started to drink tea again after a coffee holiday ....spiffingJohn Going Gentlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14958171262765033946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-42586470145486320812019-03-10T14:10:11.684+00:002019-03-10T14:10:11.684+00:00I'm a 'meat and one veg' person too. For me, "tea is served" (or more likely "Yer tea's ready", not that we have a 'man' either) means evening meal: as in the the BBC series Back In Time For Tea. And the song lyrics: "I like a nice cup of tea with my dinner, And a nice cup of tea with my tea" It's one of the words that helps pinpoint your origins in the British-Irish dialect quiz. Ha! This reminds me of ...Sorry - spelling error....<br />Ha! This reminds me of the time back in the 1980s when we were invited to stay with Spanish friends at their holiday home in the mountains outside Madrid. They proudly produced a small teapot and a pack of Liptons yellow label teabags for us and stood around to watch curiously as we went through the process of brewing tea. All went well until we added the milk. Horror and incredulity ensued and I am sure we went down in their estimation after that.JayCeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01373622852406554111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-16769788976116396072019-03-10T09:44:50.205+00:002019-03-10T09:44:50.205+00:00This comment has been removed by the author.JayCeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01373622852406554111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-51538600793363338172019-03-10T09:41:02.874+00:002019-03-10T09:41:02.874+00:00We here drink coffee most of the time, tea only w...We here drink coffee most of the time, tea only when we are sick.Yaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15181961536405061470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-53642261631775254992019-03-10T09:18:06.684+00:002019-03-10T09:18:06.684+00:00I've abandoned all teabags for the five differ...I've abandoned all teabags for the five different types of tea I keep, except for those horrible fruit teas which some people drink.
