However, the weather has been perfect for putting in gardens for the past few weeks, and I could not resist. Okay, then. I'll be waiting until the first part of June to put anything out. Not that I'm concerned about frost, but we'll be away the end of May, and I'd be more concerned about anything I put into the ground getting too parched and wilted in the heat while we were gone.Susan Flett Swiderskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09425315552148200073noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-601597501719013632012-05-11T14:41:50.115+01:002012-05-11T14:41:50.115+01:00I've not heard of the ice saints, either. I have never heard of them.
For us here in Nebraska, we "really" never trust anything with a last frost date. Several years ago, we had frosts clear up into the first week of July and then the heat was on. I have seen it snow here in July also!
I, on the general rule for me, use Mother's Day, which is Sunday here in the states, and I will be doing some things in the garden. The rest will go in next week. We are having some cold fronts go through and I like to be ready, and I have my greenhouse plastic ready also!
Have a wonderful garden weekend, Mr M and Lady M.denimflyzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04737448177805751756noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-565348432293371922012-05-11T11:33:12.095+01:002012-05-11T11:33:12.095+01:00I enjoyed learning about the ice saints, I never h...I enjoyed learning about the ice saints, I never heard of them before.Kathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04003521059890699861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-79196185523232023552012-05-11T08:24:48.551+01:002012-05-11T08:24:48.551+01:00good luck to you and may the frost stay away from ...good luck to you and may the frost stay away from your tender plants!Taradharmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17665801586196931603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-31101293299848366082012-05-11T07:00:00.005+01:002012-05-11T07:00:00.005+01:00Woe-betide the Catholic Church if they got it wron...Woe-betide the Catholic Church if they got it wrong....I'd sue!Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-560015318753529662012-05-11T06:58:50.755+01:002012-05-11T06:58:50.755+01:00I did watch a UK weather forecast yesterday that s...I did watch a UK weather forecast yesterday that spoke of more frost.
