Merci.

What a really lovely circle of 'friends' we have, here on the net.

I write a load of inconsequential nonscience, day after day, and when I have a few problems, I am offered sympathy and support by the bucket load.

When one becomes partially immobile, and lives in constant pain, one becomes crotchety and unsociable. It's not something I enjoy, but it comes with the situation.

So I wish to say THANK YOU to everyone. Your kind thoughts have meant a lot to me. Cro xx

    1. It's surprisingly cool this morning, so we're pottering in the garden.

  2. What a nice little blogpost - and heartfelt too. I always think it is a shame that we have to put the word "friends" in inverted commas when referring to our blogmates. I do that too.

    1. It was cooler this morning, but now back to hot again. I shall be back in the pool before long. It does certainly help.

    1. My sister lives in NZ, so I do get the occasional weather update. She's had a lot of heavy rain recently.

  5. Ive enjoyed following your life and philosophy for many years now. You post early morning so reading your blog usually states my day, though I may not comment till later.
You and Lady M and the family have become true friends.
Agree with you or not, your blog entries bring me pleasure. Please continue

    1. You're a darling. My life would be so much poorer without hearing of all your exploits, Saint days, Poppi's exploits, the little boats in the harbour, and all those plates of BBQ'd Octopus. Cheers!

  7. We're all in this together so we might as well have as much fun as we can. I love your humor. I have a lot of arthritis pain and can relate. I find "warm" really helps. I just sent away for a sooper dooper pooper scooper (not actual real name) electric heating pad from Amazon that covers neck, shoulders and back. And you can put it in the washing machine! I'm so excited! Now THAT makes me laugh!

    1. I need one for my hips! Pain is a nuisance. I don't understand why we can't simply take a pill.

  8. We all love you Cro, I know I never comment but that is because you make me cross with some of your views and I do not like putting the other side of the argument. But you are very important to a small part of blogland. Enjoy your stay in France. X

    1. That's the problem with being 'middle of the road'; I'm always upsetting someone somewhere. I'm always happy to be corrected, as long as it's logical and sensible.

  9. Cro, It's quite a feat to find the time and post up something each day. My posts are often large and can sometimes take days to finally publish.
I think that unknowingly your daily posts have become a comfort blanket for you. But we all look forward to them.

    1. Actually, I can hardly imagine my life without them. I've done it for so long that my early mornings would be pointless without them. I occasionally bore myself, but I do hope that I don't bore others too much.

  15. I have a few friends in blog land. I enjoy their friendship more than the ones I see face to face. I especially enjoy your blogs. I've been a follower for years, though I rarely comment. I am also very envious of that pool you have in France. Hope you are feeling much better soon. I have a few bouts occasionally with arthritis. It is no fun. My massage therapist works wonders for me.

    1. Building the pool was our best decision here. We used to travel a few K's to a filthy lake to swim. The pool is SO MUCH better.

  17. And then there are those of us who, like Mary above, read faithfully and think, "Oh, darn! Cro didn't make it France." and then, "Yay! He managed to get there after all!"
We're thinking about you, but don't often get around to posting.

  19. Cro, I'm here in Texas and don't comment often... but do enjoy your posts... and virtually live somewhere like the French or English countryside... especially now with all the political chaos going on here. But we are lucky in this day and age to have these blog friends.
