Heads in the Sand.

Humans are strange creatures.

I usually read my MSN News feed every morning to see what is happening in the world, and all I see are stories about Ms Markle, a new Mayor in NY, David Beckham, Knife crime, The Kardashians, and lots of minor Celebs either getting married, or getting divorced.

Meanwhile in other parts of the world tyrants are behaving like savages. We have Hamas, Putin, and worst of all the RSF in Sudan.

Going through the dross that purports to be 'News', I found just one small piece about Sudan. Otherwise there was an article about the appalling treatment of an Israeli hostage in Gaza, and nothing about Ukraine at all.

The report I came across about the atrocities in Sudan, was only to inform us that Yvette Cooper, our fragrant Foreign Secretary, was sending £5 Million to help the Christians who are being slaughtered in unimaginable numbers, and in unimaginable ways. Reports describe streets flowing with blood with body parts spread everywhere; all viewable from space. Hospitals have been attacked with all patients, doctors, women and babies, being killed en masse. Other 'war crimes' are too nasty to mention here, but you can imagine.

Sudan's RSF (Rapid Support Force) are possibly the most brutal military group on earth, but their crimes get very little coverage. Frankly, what will £5 Million do to help solve the problem? Nothing! It's the price of a reasonable size house in Notting Hill. The RSF are being supported by Saudi and Iran; a few UK taxpayers £'s will hardly help against that. Most will probably go directly to someone's pocket anyway.

So what can be done with these savages? Even 'Celebs' visiting the area (this was Clooney back in 2008) doesn't help..... I doubt if they even knew who Clooney was.

Is Ms Kardashian's new hair colour really more important than genocide in Africa? I think occasionally we get our priorities completely wrong! Those poor Christians in Sudan deserve our help; the RSF, like Hamas, needs to be stopped and eliminated.

  1. It is outrageous that the warring and atrocities in Sudan have received so very little news coverage in the past two years. Meantime on the 10pm BBC News last night they included an item about the finale of the popular reality programme, "The Traitors". This was the programme that had just preceded The News and in my opinion it was not news at all.

    1. What happened to serious 'priorities'? All this is going on, yet the BBC talk about some TV Celeb show. I find it appalling.

  2. Cro, I have nothing but contempt for the main stream media. And I think it all started back in 2020, when you know what happened.
By checking each morning the headlines on MSM you are never going to get the real story.
And it's why I follow the New Legacy Media where the truth is told.
Almost daily I religiously check out Dan Wootten and Myer Toutsi on youtube. Sadly not enough old people are awake to this new alternative. And anyone that keeps catching out the BBC with their half concealing stories, then that's the channel for me.
I mean, since when did tv entertainment shows become part of our daily news? I'm pleased to say that I didn't watch one second of 'The Traitor.'
Even GB News on tv, apparently now called The People's Channel, are not perfect, but they will cover stories that the BBC would dare not touch.
Well they recently announced that for the third month in a row they got higher viewing figures than both the BBC and Sky News for their News coverage.
The BBC that I grew up watching has changed beyond all recognition.
As someone recently said...'The News is just a tv show amplifying the agenda of the powerful and the elite who own everything.
Is it no wonder why Religious protest groups keep gathering outside BBC House London due to the non reporting of thousands of Christians being slaughtered in Nigeria.
So if I do watch the BBC News, then my sole reason is just to see what they left out...again.

    1. Nor did I watch any of the Traitors programmes; not my thing! However, as you say, it became a part of 'The News' every day, until I felt like throwing something at the screen. I'll certainly have a look at the Dan Wootton page. Thanks for the info.

  3. To follow up...GB News just announced that over 1,000 illegals entered Dover since yesterday morning, taking the figures in 2025 to 38,000.
Probably won't be mentioned by the pro immigration and pro Palestinian BBC. GB News give reliable updates unlike the BBC who mostly report on the boat crossings when there has been a human tragedy.
But you've got to laugh when the BBC call their afternoon News show 'Verified Live.'

    1. Someone should prosecute the BBC under the Trades Descriptions Act for daring to claim that their Verified brand is anything other than lies and propaganda, no truth to being found anywhere in it!

    1. Well done. And there are indeed many alternatives to choose from. Perhaps people are slowly waking up.
Blackbelt Barrister is also very interesting to watch.

  5. What about the ongoing starvation and lack of medical assistance in Gaza? Food and supplies are being systematically withheld.
I am watching Bloomberg and while this is mostly world economic news, they do cover the otiosities albeit not as fully as they could.
Mainline news is full of celeb updates/sports/another plane crash/US gov't. shut down.

    1. You're right. Hamas are not only stealing much of the aid, but they are also now killing their own people rather than the Israelis. A charming bunch.

  6. Hi there. I haven't commented on your blog for quite a while. My daughter did a business internship in Mombasa, Kenya, in 2007. She said she was a big believer in sending aid to 3rd world countries before but, from what she learned, the money goes into the pockets of the higher ups. The poor people don't see any of it. So, it's a waste of money. I don't know how these people in places like Sudan can solve their problems. They've been fighting for centuries and it's most likely a generational condition.

    1. It's amazing that any of them get past the age of being trigger-happy. Yes, the waste of so-called 'Foreign Aid' is appalling. I can remember one African country (can't remember which) spending it all on a fleet of Mercedes cars for their politicians and wives.

  7. The murders of Christians in Africa and Pakistan are not newsworthy per the main stream media. It would require the acknowledgement that Islam is not the religion of peace.

If you think the BBC is bad,you should try the Canadian media.

Africa cannot be fixed. I remember the Biafra coverage as a child and 50 years later thereis still starvation and mismanagement of aide by warlords.

In the west there needs to be more screening of migrants. We have an area known as "little Somalia" same grudges and internal strife was brought here and the police are told they are racist when they attempt to bring quiet to the area.

Now, if you want a good laugh, the UK welcomes anyone without documentation as long as they arrive via a small boat. As a Canadian born in the UK, the land of my birth requires me to obtain a UK passport to visit. I have a perfectly valid Canadian passport but they won't issue an ETA on it because I'm entitled to a UK passport and they won't give a UK national an ETA. I left the UK at the ripe old age of 5 and haven't lived or worked there since.

    1. At present in the UK, if you use the word 'Muslim', the woke brigade will call you a racist. They have no idea what type of world they are creating. We have one set of rules for illegal immigrants, and another for natives. Guess who wins!
