Fashion.

Fashion is often more about what hasn't been done before, rather than what is pleasant to look at, or wear. This chap here is showing a classic example.

I did once myself enter the world of fashion. I designed a watch strap based on a tailor's measuring tape. One even appeared on the front cover of Vogue magazine. It brought me no fame! The only reason I designed it (or thought of it) was because it hadn't been done before. I never intended to become the King of watch straps.

The annual fashion shows of the big-name couturiers have become a farce, with Z-list celebs all occupying the front row seats in their sunglasses, and the models hardly able to walk in the ridiculous 'creations'. They have become more comedy shows than serious fashion exhibitions. And as for the models.........

I know what you're thinking. Would Cro go to Sainsbury's wearing the above outfit? Well the answer is twofold. If I was being paid; yes! If I wasn't being paid; no!

  2. These kind of laughable outfits are only ever seen once and never again because people simply wont wear them.
Extreme modern clothes like those makes me think of British modern art and how Tracey Emin was catapulted onto the modern art scene with her 'Unmade Bed.' The more rediculous something looks, then the more attention it receives.
Still, that unmade bed did put Margate back on the map.

    1. I don't think that Tracey Emin's reputation will last that long. There is a steady return to 'skill' in painting. Thank goodness.

  3. Are the Y fronts beneath the big trousers just as big and where do the brown skid marks appear? The model is looking into the camera as if to say, "What you laughing at dimwit?" or "I hope my mates don't see this!"

    1. I suspect he was the designer, as well as model. He's simply looking embarrassed. I would have too.

  4. Ye gods and little fishes. I often wonder if anyone buys, let alone wears those outrageous inspirations worn by models at the fashion shows. I suppose the outfits do what they're meant to do, bring publicity and advertise designer names.

    1. I think they're designed to shock. So-called 'celebs' may wear some of them on the red carpet, but otherwise they are never seen again.

  5. It is unisex looking. Pants, jumpsuit, and dress combined. It provides coverage, unlike some of the high skin reveals we sometimes see.

    1. When I first saw it I was quite amused, but the amusement soon faded.
