We used to go to a club a few years ago in Welwyn Garden City and all the musicians were in their 60s/70s even 80s. We fear that the music will die with them. None of the " bands" ever had a young person playing. I used to go to jazz on a Monday night in Leicester when I was in my late teens early 20s....all the greats used to play. Terry Lightfoot, Alex Welsh, Chris Barber, Ken Colyer to name but a few! We danced the night away.....best nights out ever!Franceshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02576715462615744934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-77195458077223493582017-04-01T14:24:15.486+01:002017-04-01T14:24:15.486+01:00Good raw music with a bucolic touch.Good raw music with a bucolic touch.Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-39533689597377545712017-04-01T14:23:12.521+01:002017-04-01T14:23:12.521+01:00It has a similar effect on me to Ska.It has a similar effect on me to Ska.Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-6916579761164703192017-04-01T14:07:29.647+01:002017-04-01T14:07:29.647+01:00Love a bit of Bluegrass.Love a bit of Bluegrass.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10787732343048847565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5227064496185547313.post-89656385094677499502017-04-01T11:31:55.103+01:002017-04-01T11:31:55.103+01:00The energy from Bluegrass makes one happy. Once he took us to a concert at the NC history museum in Raleigh. When the players really started to tear it up, Edie looked at me with devilry in her eye and started to giggle....then I started to giggle....and pretty soon we were both struggling to contain ourselves! We just couldn't stop when the musicians were getting down like that! :)

Lou (her husband) wasn't really amused at our antics.
