Some Magnon Genealogy.

Great Grandfather Magnon (love that bushy beard).

Grandfather Magnon (his tash became a 'handlebar' later in life).

My father.

Cro (the first scruffy Magnon).

'Kimbo' Magnon (No 1 son).

Harvey J and Ollie Magnon (grandsons). The gent' in the top photo, with the big bushy beard, is their great great great grandfather!

  1. Kimbo Magnon (who is with us for 2 weeks) has now become our official family archivist; hence the pix.

  4. I see the family resemblance in the eyes of the grown men. (We'll have to see about the boys as they get older.) Do you see it, Cro? Do you see it in your grandchildren?

It is so marvelous to gaze into the face of one's ancestors and wonder at their lives, and marvel at the lineage and the life that goes on and on. Wonderful post, Cro.

  6. These are lovely photos, for what they represent. It made me realise that in 1992, at the age of 33, I became the oldest surviving male member of my family.

  9. I agree with Elaine, you are very like G Granpa. You all look rather distinguished, I was thinking Ernest has a Gallic air :-) A hint of things to come maybe.

  10. Thank you for sharing those Cro. You come from a long line of handsome fellows and clearly passed those genes along! My compliments to Lady Magnon's taste.

How is Haddocks coming along? We're making a vegetable frittata this morning with garden veggies and fresh eggs.

    1. Haddock's is now proving all our vegetables. We should now be self-sufficient until about November/December. Sadly this year we have very little fruit. Loads of figs and grapes, but not much else.

    1. Possibly; but not here. I'm afraid some tiny insects got to this one, and chewed his eye and collar.
