Cro'me alone.

Lady Magnon was due to return to France yesterday afternoon, but, as everyone probably knows, London's two major airports (the busiest in the world) are snowed under.

Re-booking is never easy in these circumstances, and the next available flight is on Boxing day.

So, looks like another Christmas all by myself. I shall watch 'It's a Wonderful life', and 'Love Actually' on TV, maybe roast myself a small duck, and settle down to pull a lone cracker.

Occasionally life deals a bummer. I suppose it's my turn.

  1. Oh no, poor Cro! I'd invite you over to Chez Nous but we're in Blighty for the winter. (Phew, lucky escape there I hear you say!). Will Lady M be back for Boxing Day?

  2. How very kind, Sue, but I'll be fine. Hopefully she'll be back just after Christmas, we'll have to see; she may decide to stay!!

  3. Oh, that's a shame, Cro. Maybe I'll drop in (cyberly) on the day and see how you're getting on with your box of kleenex and 'It's a Wonderful Life'

  5. This is (as your title suggests) just like the movie Home Alone, except you're not 9 years old, you're in France instead of Chicago, and Joe Pesci isn't staking out your mansion. Okay, it's nothing like Home Alone. But I do feel bad for you. I hope your neighbor's dogs will come around and give you some comfort and company. Take care ~

  8. Cro -its a bit of a nightmare for everyone having to travel. My thoughts are with Lady M and all those other folks. Love Tom's idea of keeping in touch on Christmas Day through the web. Will do!

  11. The problem is, Jacqueline, that Lady M will be wanting to celebrate on the 25th. We'll just have to become REAL Froggies, and celebrate New Year instead.
